The NanoStandards™ MicroStandards™ series particle size standards by Applied Microspheres are not only traceable to NIST but also to the standard meter of the International System of Units (SI). Traceability to the SI is obtained through reference materials calibrated by the Danish National Metrology Institute (DFM), an ISO/IEC accredited organisation. The DFM methods are performed under DANAK (Danish Accreditation and Metrology Fund) accreditation following DS/EN ISO/IEC 17025. DANAK is one of the signatories to the EA multilateral agreement and the ILAC multilateral agreement for the mutual recognition of calibration certificates.

Traceability to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology of the USA) is obtained through NIST Standard Reference Materials.

NanoStandards™ and MicroStandards™ Series Particle Size Standards meet the highest international metrological standards and therefore provide accurate and traceable size calibration for particle size analysis. They are supplied as aqueous suspension in 20 mL tamper proof, dropper-tip bottles, in concentrations optimal for long-term stability and ease of dilution.
